The heart behind Smooch-able

Hi, I'm Lauryn, and I'm a young professional with a passion for health and wellness. Like many of you, I discovered the benefits of mouth taping for improving sleep quality. However, I was frustrated by the irritation and dryness it caused to my lips. That's why I created Smooch-able: a mouth tape designed to prioritize both effective nasal breathing and the delicate skin of your lips.

With Smooch-able, you can finally enjoy the advantages of mouth taping without compromising your comfort or your smile.

How It Works & How to Use It Safely

  • Smooch-able mouth tape is designed with your comfort and safety in mind. Unlike regular mouth tape, which typically has adhesive across the entire strip, Smooch-able features a unique oval shape with adhesive primarily on the outer edges. This design provides a greater surface area while minimising direct adhesive contact with the sensitive skin of your lips, making removal more comfortable.

  • 1. Encouraging Nasal Breathing
Mouth tape may help keep the lips gently closed during sleep, which can promote nasal airflow. For some individuals, this serves as a reminder to breathe through the nose rather than the mouth.

    2. Supporting a More Comfortable Sleep Experience
By promoting nasal breathing, some users report reduced instances of dry mouth or disrupted sleep caused by open-mouth breathing. This may contribute to a more comfortable night's rest for some.

    3. Reducing Mouth Dryness
Mouth breathing can lead to dry mouth overnight. Encouraging nasal breathing may help maintain normal saliva levels, which play a role in oral comfort and hygiene.

  • Pucker up! Ensure lips are clean and dry.

    Gently remove tape from backing.

    Apply horizontally across closed lips.

Press and gently rub the tape to help it adhere.

Settle in for some beauty sleep.

In the morning, remove from mouth and get ready to enjoy a lovely day.

  • When used correctly, mouth taping is generally considered safe for most people. Our tape is specifically designed for overnight wear, made with skin-friendly materials and a breathable design that gently seals the lips while covering the full mouth area.

Although the tape covers the mouth, it is designed to be easily removed if needed. Only use purpose-designed mouth tape, and stop use immediately if you experience discomfort or difficulty breathing.

If you are pregnant or have any underlying health conditions such as nasal congestion, sleep apnea, asthma, or other respiratory issues, consult your doctor before trying mouth taping. They can help assess whether it's safe and appropriate for you.

As with any adhesive product, there is a small risk of skin sensitivity or allergic reaction. We recommend testing the tape on a small patch of skin before first use. Do not use on broken, sunburned, or irritated skin. Always ensure the tape is applied only over the mouth and does not obstruct the nostrils.
